My Story

I'm taking part in the St David's Hospice, Iceland Expedition 2024.

In November 2024, I will be spending three days trekking across fields of geothermal activity with bubbling mud pools and hot springs, the peaks of the Mount Hengill heritage site and the fault lines between Europe and America, All in aid of St David's Hospice.

The money raised from this expedition will be vital in helping St David's Hospice to continue to deliver care to both patients and their families throughout North West Wales.

Below, you can see how your donations will make a difference;

£6.50 will provide nutritious meals throughout the day for a patient

£17.50 helps a family member with a 1 hour bereavement session

£25 gives a patient a 1 hour physiotherapy session

£65 allows a patient to be treated at home by our Hospice at Home team

£2,745 sponsors a nurse for a month

To begin to raise funds for this challenge, on the 8th April 2024, I will attempt to run (or possibly walk and crawl!!) 40 miles from Catherine Gladstone House in Mancot, Deeside to St David's Hospice in Llandudno.

On that date it will be 17 years since we lost Mum, and Mancot was her place of birth, and St Davids her final resting place where she received such loving care, which is why I continue to support this amazing charity.
